A 30-year-old employee, Faheem Firdous Qureshi at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC) is making headlines after he was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly posting pro-Pakistan comments against India on X/Twitter

For the unversed, the Individual is identified as Faheem Firdous Qureshi from Kashmir. He was reportedly working at the BIEC and was arrested following a complaint.

As per the official complaint, BIEC received an email highlighting Faheem Firdous Qureshi’s social media activity.

Afterward, BIEC took the matter to the Police on Jun 19 and filed an FIR with all the relevant screenshots as evidence.

Media reports suggest that the Madanayakanahalli police registered a sup moto case against Qureshi.

What Did Qureshi’s Post Read?

In one of the posts, Faheem reportedly wrote, “When ‘I’ is replaced by ‘We’ India becomes wendia, meaning we will end India. Bodied a pajeet client at work today.

“How is the situation now in Kashmir? Hataa dalla, cze kyuho? It’s time to take this out of the closet for tonight’s game.

“I know we are down and out and clearly not the favourites. But we hope lessgo greens #PakvsInd #t20USA. Dear Australia, I cannot afford India winning today living amount pajeets. Please do something.”

Charges Against Qureshi

A case was registered against Faheem Firdous Qureshi under Sections 505(1)(B) (intent to cause fear or alarm to the public, potentially inciting offenses against the State or public tranquility) and 153B (assertions prejudicial to national integration) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

As per the authorities, further investigations are still ongoing. In addition, a senior officer revealed that Qureshi, who has been in Bengaluru for the past 11 months, was arrested on Wednesday and is currently in police custody.

About Faheem Firdous Qureshi

Although there isn’t much information available about him. However, a few reports suggest that he has completed his graduation from Kashmir and has earned a Master’s degree from Presidency College, Bangalore.
