She was born on 16 May 1988 in Grootfontein, South West Africa (now Namibia). She briefly resided in South Africa before relocating to Namibia. Her father’s name is Boet Prinsloo, who is a church minister and her mother’s name is Magda (née Rossouw), who runs a bed and breakfast restaurant.
