Jeremie Agyekum Frimpong is a Dutch professional footballer who was born on December 10, 2000 in Amsterdam, Netherlands. He currently plays as a right wing-back for Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen as well as the Netherlands national team. Although he was born in the Netherlands, he has Ghanaian roots on his maternal side. However, he spent over half his life in Great Britain after his family moved to England when he was seven.

Jeremie previously joined German side Bayer Leverkusen back on January 27, 2021 on a four-and-a-half-year deal for an undisclosed fee. After moving to England with his family, he joined the Man City youth academy within two years. Notably, he played alongside Jadon Sancho in the U18s before Sancho made the move to Borussia Dortmund. Frimpong made over 60 appearances in total for the Manchester City U18s, 19s, and 23s but left without making a senior debut.
The youngster joined Celtic in 2019, where he made 24 appearances across his debut season of senior football. During that season, he scored four goals and bagged five assists, helping the Hoops win the Scottish Premiership Cup and League Cup treble. He played another season with them before signing a four-year deal with Leverkusen.
Frimpong quickly settled at the BayArena, and made 10 Bundesliga appearances in his first season before becoming the starting right-back by the 2021/22 season. He made a total of 26 appearances, scored one goal, providing six assists, during his second season. His performances earned him a national team selection ahead of the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
Although he did not play due to injury issues, he returned to the pitch for his club, scoring three goals in just four matches between Matchdays 23 and 26.
