Barry Allen aka the Twisted Tea Guy has passed away with a cause of death known now
After he got into a fight with a white man inside a Circle K in Ohio in December 2020, Barry Allen, also known as Twisted Tea Guy, went viral on the internet.

According to reports, Barry hit the man with a can of Twisted Tea when the argument became heated. The man allegedly slugged Barry to the ground as he was about to fight him, earning him the nickname “Twisty Tea Guy.” Social media accounts on Facebook and Instagram shared the news of Barry Allen’s death on March 24, 2025.

Shortly after it was uploaded to the internet, Barry Allen’s video showing him hitting a man in the face with a can of Twisted Tea became viral. Barry remembered the incident from the start when he appeared on Mark One Sports in January 2021.
He claimed that he originally disregarded the white man yelling the n-word at two Black employees as he was standing at the Circle K because he thought the man would go before Barry had a chance to pay. The n-word was repeatedly used by the man in question, though, “like he was just a normal Black guy having fun with all his buddies.”

The Twisted Tea guy went on to explain that he could see by the expressions on the faces of the staff that they were uncomfortable but chose to remain silent due to their jobs. Barry encountered a provoked reaction when he challenged the white man.
The Twisted Tea Guy aka Barry Allen, also known as Bobby Oliver, tragically lost his life on March 22, 2025, due to injuries sustained in a car accident. Born and raised in Lorain, Ohio, Barry was known for his kind heart, unwavering sense of justice, and infectious sense of humor and many came to recognize him as the “Twisted Tea Warrior” after a viral video in 2020.
The NY Post claims that the Twisted Tea man was married with five kids. His wife created the X handle @OfficalMrsteako shortly after his altercation went viral, claiming that everyone was referring to her husband as MrTeaKO. Details about his family members aren’t known though.
“Aw man. Apparently the guy in the infamous Twisted Tea clip who gave the racist as*hole a damn good smacking just died. RIP,” a user wrote after his passing.

A GoFundMe campaign has been organized by Ruth Wisniewski to assist with funeral expenses and provide support to Barry’s family during this time.
“Bobby Oliver AKA Barry Allen died unexpectedly on 3/22/25. Details are still unclear but we do know that there is a long road ahead and funeral expenses. Please help out if you can. Bobby is family to many of us. Some by blood, some not. Family is Family,” his fundraiser read.
