Tomoka Miyazaki is a badminton player from Yamaguchi prefecture who was born on August 17, 2006. The 17-year-old stands 1.64 m (5 ft 5 in) tall.
A look at Tomoka Miyazaki’s career so far
As a freshman in high school, she took home the girls’ singles title in the October World Junior Championships in Santander, Spain. She followed Nozomi Okuhara, Akane Yamaguchi, and Riko Gunji as the four Japanese players to win the world junior singles championship in 2022.
In 2023, she defeated Thai player Pornpicha Choeikeewong in the finals to win the Indonesia Masters Super 100 II on October 29. She competed at the Korea Masters in November, placing runner-up after falling to Kim Ga-eun, the country’s top player. She made her debut in a Super 300 competition final last year with her thrilling journey to the Korea Masters finals.
