Baba Siddique’s family and education
Baba finished his schooling at St.Annes High School and further studied at Smt. M.M.K College of Commerce and Economics. Baba’s height is 5 feet 8 inches and his weight is approximately 70 kg as of 2023. Siddique was born to his parents Abdul Rahim Siddique and Razia Siddique. He holds Indian nationality while he follows Islam and he is a Muslim.
Baba Siddique is married to Alka Bindra, who is the sister of Ranjeet Bindra while his wife changed her name to Shehzeen Siddique after getting married. The couple together have two children, a daughter Dr. Arshia Siddique and a son named Zeeshan Siddique. Siddique’s son is a politician and he was elected as a member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly in early 2019.
Baba Siddique career
Baba is an Indian politician who was earlier a Member of the Legislative Assembly of Maharashtra for Vandre West Vidhan Sabha Constituency. Later on, Baba became MLA for three consecutive terms in 1999, 2004, and 2009 while Siddique also served as a Minister of the State for Food and Civil Supplies, Labour and FDA from 2004 to 2008.
He further served as the Municipal Corporator earlier for 2 consecutive terms from 1992 to 1997.
Baba joined the Indian National Congress in 1977 when he was a teen and later he became a member of the National Students Union of India from Mumbai. He participated in several student movements as well.
In 2017, after almost 20 hours of searches at seven locations in Mumbai, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) seized huge quantity of indiscriminating documents, including details of few benami properties of Baba Siddique, an ex-MLA of Congress party.

Sources from the agency revealed that the former MLA is having at least 15-20 properties. “Out of these properties, we have found at least 4-5 benami properties. These properties belong to Baba, but the owners are shown as someone else, in fact, the bogus owners are his own employees at lower level.”
