At the Queensland Athletics Championships in Australia, spectators were left in awe as 16-year-old sprinter Gout Gout blazed through the 100-meter race in 10.2 seconds.
Back in 2022, in 10.57-seconds, he became the fastest Australian Under 16 boy in history.

Gout Gout is an Australian track and field athlete and sprinter who was born December 29, 2007, in Ipswich, Queensland but his height isn’t known. He is currently 16 years old and competes professionally as a sprinter. Gout was born to parents who originally hailed from South Sudan but moved to Australia just two years before his birth.
One of seven children to parents Monica and Bona, Gout was born in Brisbane in 2007 after his parents migrated to Australia from Sudan in 2005.

Gout Gout currently attends Ipswich Grammar School in South East Queensland.

Career and achievements
Gout Gout is a track and field athlete who competes mainly as a sprinter in the 100 meters and 200 meters event. He currently holds the Australian under-16 records in both the 100m and 200m events. Gout initially gained prominence after running 10.57 seconds in the 100m event as a fourteen-year-old. He then broke the record for the Australian under-18 men’s 200m event in April 2023. That same year in April, Gout ran 20.87 seconds at the Australian Junior Athletics Championships in Brisbane and won the under-18 men’s 200m final.
Earlier this year, in March, Gout Gout ran a personal best time of 10.29s to win the U-18 Boys 100m. He won the event at the Queensland Athletics Championships, which took place in Brisbane. He then won the Australian U20 100m title later in April 2024, with a time of 10.48 seconds. Following his impressive performances, the teenager featured in the Australian team for the upcoming 2024 World Athletics U20 Championships in Lima.
