Harjas Singh is an Indian-origin cricketer born on 31 January 2005 in Sydney, Australia and the 18-year-old all-rounder is part of Australia’s national under-19 cricket team.
Harjas got interested in the sport at a very young age. With a wooden board serving as a bat and a tennis ball in place of a leather one, the teenager claims he was first introduced to cricket.
He was used as a substitute for the local Revesa by the Workers Cricket Club. As per a report in SBS Punjabi, the cricketer was trained by Neil D’Costa who helped him become a professional.
In Northampton, Harjas Singh made a spectacular century against England while playing for the Australia U19 team. He also scored 90 at Beckenham against England.
