In an event known for its vibrant baggy pants, and an abundance of style, Raygun, stood out by embracing different approach to opt to wear the distinctly uncool Australian sweatsuit, with a matching ball cap.

About Rachel Gunn aka Raygun
Born on September 2, 1987, Rachel Gunn, as aforesaid is an Australian break-dancer and a professor. Raised in Hornsby, New South Wales, she began dancing as a child, training in ballroom, tap, and jazz.
She earned her bachelorโs degree in contemporary music from Macquarie University in 2009, where she currently works as a professor. Raygun earned a PgD degree in cultural studies in 2017, focusing her thesis on โthe intersection of gender and Sydneyโs breaking culture.โ
Marital Status & Children
Rachel Gunn is married to a fellow break-dancer Samuel Free in 2008. However, as of now there isnโt any information available about their children.
Under nickname Raygun, Rachel began breakdancing in early 2010. However, she took a brief break from competing to finish her PhD degree and return to the world of competition in 2018. Coached by her husband, Samuel Free, Gunn trains for 3-4 hours a day.
Achievements
The break-dancer has represented Australia in the 2021 World Breaking Championships in Paris, the 2022 World Breaking Championships in Seoul, and the 2023 World Breaking Championships in Leuven, Belgium. In 2023, she won the Oceania Breaking Championships, securing her spot in the 2024 Summer Olympics.
