On August 25, 2022, Liberty was detained for battery in Miami, Florida. He was required to pay a fine of $1,500 USD to have the accusations against her dropped.

Who Is Raven Liberty?

Melly continued to enter a “not guilty” plea on the opening day of the Florida Court trial on June 12, and his attorney, Raven Liberty, told the jury that her client had “no reason to murder his friends.” On top of that, she added that the prosecution’s investigation was “incompetent and incomplete.”
Melly’s prior admission of having several personality problems, such as being bipolar and schizophrenic, went viral on social media a few days after the start of his trial, drawing both condemnation and sympathy from netizens.
And now, according to the most recent reports, his motion for a mistrial has been turned down.
For those who don’t know, YNW Melly is accused of killing Anthony Williams, also known as YNW SakChaser, and Christopher Thomas Jr., also known as YNW Juvy. At the time of their passing on the evening of October 26, 2018, in Miramar, Florida, they were 19 and 21, respectively.
As per the accusations made against YNW Melly, the two were shot several times inside YNW Bortlen’s automobile, also known as Cortlen Henry. Later, the latter staged the killings as an arbitrary drive-by shooting.
Shreds of proof that Melly and Bortlen were present during the double murder have been discovered after years of inquiry. These include video surveillance, phone records, DNA, reports of blood splatters, and bullet casings.
The hospital staff and local police assisted in establishing the timeline of the incident.
YNW Melly was detained in February of this year. He might receive the death penalty or perhaps life in prison if found guilty.
