With his impressive personal best of 20.55 seconds in the 200m, the young athlete then faced what sports pundits described as an โabsolute disaster,โ after he suddenly began to slow down dramatically.
Now a video of the Incident has gone viral across social media platforms featuring Jordan decelerated on the home stretch, glancing over his shoulder to check his opponentsโ positions and to his surprise they were all right behind him and quickly some even surpassed him.
Before he could react to anything, his assured victory was snatched away from him by fellow runners who stormed past him in a seconds gap.
Everyone was left stunned including the British commentator who summed up the situation as, โWhatโs happened here? What has gone wrong there?”

For the curious, the crown was taken by Swedenโs Bram Persson, 16, who ran fastest, winning the heat in 21.79 seconds. He was closely followed by Denmarkโs Samuel Kaerhog in 21.95 seconds.
Followed by Switzerlandโs Mathieu Gabioud, 17, who took the three automatic qualifying spots. It simply meant Odey-Jordan, who was set for the crown couldnโt even secured a spot in the top three to qualify.
