Harmilan Kaur Bains, an Indian athlete from Punjab, was born on April 23, 1998. The 25-year-old was chosen to represent India in the Asian Games athletics.
In the 1500-meter race at the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, she took home the silver medal. She holds the 1500-meter Indian record.
At the Inter-State Athletics Championships in Bhubaneswar, she took home silver medals in the 1500 and 800 metres. She broke Sunita Rani’s 2002 record of 4:06.03 by running the 1500 metres in 4:05.39 in the National Open Championships in Warangal in 2021. The same year, in the 800m at the Nationals in Patiala, she ran a personal best 2:02.57.
