Priya, a 26-year-old influencer in fitness and fashion, was reportedly seriously hurt after she was struck by a Land Rover Defender on Ovala Road in the Ghodbunder neighborhood of Thane. The vehicle was purportedly driven by Ashwajit and his friends.
The distressing incident left Priya with a fractured right leg, bruises on her arms, and deep scratches on her back and stomach. However, Priya bravely responded by sharing a whole narrative of the claimed attack on Instagram.
Priya said on Instagram that the dispute started at 4:30 a.m. when Ashwajit Gaikwad invited her to the Court Yard Hotel. After that, there was a heated conversation that turned violent. Priya described a terrifying incident in which Ashwajit reportedly struck her at a barrier with his car before purposefully running over her right leg.
After the incident, a bystander helped Priya and called the police right away. However, reports revealed more unsettling activities involving Sagar, Ashwajit Gaikwad’s driver, who reportedly interfered and then fled after escorting Priya to a nearby hospital while threatening the worried bystander.
The gravity of the situation amplified as Priya tagged several high-profile personalities in her Instagram post, seeking attention and justice. Even though Ashwajit Gaikwad and his associates have a complaint filed against them, they are still at large, and there have been no recorded arrests by the police at the Kasarvadavali Police Station.

Ashwajit Gaikwad is known for being the son of a top Maharashtra bureaucrat. He has been in the news because he is facing allegations of severely injuring his girlfriend, Priya Singh, in Thane.
He is a resident of the Hiranandani complex in Thane West, Mumbai, Maharashtra, and is currently 34 years old. His father is Anilkumar Gaikwad, a well-known bureaucrat currently posted as the Joint Managing Director of the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation.
He has been dating Priya Singh, a professional fitness and fashion influencer who lives in Waghbil, Thane West. They have been in a relationship for the last four and a half years.
Recently, her girlfriend registered a case at the Kasarwadavli Police Station in Thane against him and his friends. In addition to Ashwajit Gaikwad, the driver and two other people were prosecuted under the IPC’s Sections 279 (rash driving), 504 (intentional insult with intent to cause a breach of peace), and 323 (voluntarily inflicting pain).
