As per a report by BBC, the guilty fraudster was convicted for 12 counts of wire fraud and conspiracy to commit wire fraud for his involvement and role in the failed Blood-testing start up.
For those who are unversed, let us tell you, the executive of the start-up, Theranos, falsely claimed that their product could diagnose illnesses with a few drops of blood after a finger prick.
Let us also remind you, Balwani’s former girlfriend and Founder of Theranos, Elizabeth Holmes, was sentenced to 11 years and 3 months behind bars last month.

Who’s Keiko Fujimoto?
Keiko Fujimoto is ex-wife of Sunny Balwani, the former President and COO of a Silicon Valley company, Theranos.
Earlier, the alleged partner of Balwani, Holmes accuses the former for sexually abusing her. At the time, Balwani’s former wife come forward as she stated that Holmes claims are “false and inflammatory.”

As per reports, Fujimoto completed a MS degree in Information Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
Balwani met her when he was working at Microsoft. Soon enough the duo started dating. After their marriage they relocated to San Francisco.
As per court documents, Fujimoto applied for a divorce back on February 14, 2022 and they went their separate ways in December.
As per her social media platform LinkedIn profile, she has been working at the Applied Materials company for around 33 years. The 45 year old who is also an artist has a net worth of $6 million.
The sentencing to the Pakistani native has brought a close-up in Silicon Valley history. Earlier, Holmes, the founder of the company, was seen on the cover page of Forbes as the new-age Steve Jobs, who would help revolutionize the medical industry.
