Lucas Giolito, a pitcher for the Chicago White Sox, announced on Instagram on Tuesday during the Home Run Derby that he and his wife were separating.

Giolito, 28, seemed to switch off comments on the post after claiming that they had reached a “mutual agreement.” The 2019 All-Star captioned the post saying:
Ariana and I have made the difficult, but mutual, decision to amicably end our marriage….”
He further wrote:
After thoughtful consideration and discussions, we have chosen to follow separate paths while maintaining the bond we have nurtured over the years….”
According to Ariana Dubelko, their tumultuous 4-year marriage ended because of “irreconcilable differences,” according to TMZ, which then resulted in her filing for a divorce.
Giolito is being asked by Dubelko to pay for her part of spousal support, their attorney’s fees and for her shares in “all property acquired by the parties during marriage through the date of separation. All community earnings and accumulation during marriage through the date of separation,” as per TMZ.
In December 2018, the pair, who had been dating since they were teenagers, got married, however, they did not have any children together.
This season, right-handed pitcher Giolito has a 3.45 ERA, 117 strikeouts, and a.223 opponents’ batting average. After this season, he will become a free agent, but if the 38-54 White Sox sell at the trade deadline, the competing Rangers and Reds appear interested in acquiring him. Ariana Rose Dubelko, was born in Los Angeles, California, on January 8, 1994 and is currently 29 years old. She was born to Robert and Janine Dubelko and has a brother named Alexander.

She later transferred to Southern Methodist University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in applied Physiology and Health Management, which she received in 2016. She then applied to and was accepted into the University of California-Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. Ariana competed in equestrian while she was a student.
