Gauthami (Aria) joined GBK Entertainment and used the name Ami as a trainee on their online training platform, Universe. She was born Gauthami in Kerala, India. Gauthami later adopted the name Aria in November 2022 as she made her way to becoming the second Indian K-pop idol.
Aria’s Journey To K-Pop
Many aspiring artists hope to get into the industry due to K-pop’s influence and popularity. One such performer who has also emerged as the second Indian K-Pop sensation is Aria, one of the five women who make up the female group X:IN.
She was slated to make her debut with the GBK girl group MEP-C. Aria was formally introduced in the group X: IN and as the fifth member in early 2023.
Roa, Chi.u, E.sha, Nova, and Aria are the members of the female group X:IN.
She was one of the five women there who were chosen for MEP-C, the upcoming girl group from GBK. Unfortunately, her profile post was removed, and she quit the group in early 2023 as a result.
She and Nova were both unveiled as the last members of the girl group X:IN in the line-up reveal video for the 44th K-Stage Yes or No concert in March of this year.
X:IN wrote in an Instagram caption, “Hey, everyone. Aria here. We had our first appearance on Music Core! Thank you to the entire staff at MBC Music Core. Our CEO, producer, employees, hair and makeup artists, stylists, and teachers look out for us. Thank you all so much”
With their first digital single, “Keeping the Fire,” the group made its debut on April 11, 2023.
