The victim shared the video, depicting Mir beating her with a ‘mooda’ with an X user named Sonia Sisodia.
What Did the Victim Reveal?
According to the victim, Mir initially deceived her by claiming his defense job prevented him from having official social media accounts, justifying the use of a parody account.
“He manipulated my trust over several months,” she said. “When I discovered his true identity, he convinced me that he had hidden his Muslim identity out of profound love for me, fearing rejection. His convincing argument led me to agree to a Nikah with him.”
Identity of the Victim
The victim, Anna Jain, revealed that Mir had contacted her via Instagram, using a fake account and posing as Ravi Rajput, an alleged employee of Union Minister Rajnath Singh.
However, Mir’s true intentions soon became apparent. “He emotionally blackmailed me and coerced me to give him my savings and sell my jewelry valued between Rs 40 to 50 lakhs to purchase property,” the victim alleged.

Once she was financially drained, the victim claims Mir’s abuse escalated to daily physical violence. She also discovered that Mir was allegedly involved with multiple women, predominantly Hindus and Jains, whom he trapped using a similar modus operandi.
She further claimed that by pretending to be a ‘nationalist Muslim,’ he falsely expressed support for the BJP and Indian nationalist ideologies to gain these women’s trust.
Aquib Mir’s Response
Mir addressed the allegations on X/Twitter, refuting the claims of ‘love jihad’ spreading on social media.
“This is not a case of love jihad, as people are suggesting online. It is actually a property & money dispute, and the police are currently investigating the matter,” he clarified.

About Aquib Mir
Aaqib Mir a Muslim by religion, formerly a politician with the BJYM (Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha), the youth wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Doda, Jammu & Kashmir, was removed from the BJP after several complaints from women supporters.
Despite this, he still claims to be a BJP member, as his LinkedIn profile still shows he is with BJYM.
According to Sonia Sisodia, Mir has been accused of assaulting his Hindu wife Anna Jain, with CCTV footage supporting the allegations.
Sisodia has been tweeting about Mir’s alleged behavior with women BJP supporters for 2-3 years, but the party did not address it as he was considered an important Muslim voice from the region. He was eventually allegedly removed from the party in October 2019 after complaints against him.
