For the unversed, earlier a SpiceJet staff member was arrested for allegedly slapping a CISF officer during a dispute over security screening.
A video of the incident has now gone viral across social media platforms featuring a woman slapping a CISF officer.

The viral video comes from a CCTV footage that captured the altercation. It shows the CISF officer talking to a woman. She suddenly steps towards him and slaps him in the face.
The SpiceJet employee who was arrested yesterday for slapping a male CISF personnel had refused to be frisked while entering the Jaipur airport and Anuradha Rani’s denial to undergo the security check led to an argument with the security personnel.

Amidst this a female constable intervenes and takes the woman aside. The police have identified the woman as Anuradha Rani and charges her with assault based on a complaint from Assistant Sub Inspector Giriraj Prasad.
Additionally, SpiceJet has filed a complaint with local authorities and announced immediate legal action.
What Did the SpiceJet Claim?
Earlier SpiceJet released a statement claiming that their employee was subjected to inappropriate language, with the CISF officer allegedly asking her to “come and meet him after his duty hours at his home.”
Initially, the police reported that Rani worked as a food supervisor, however, the airline described her as a female security staff member.

What Did the Police Say?
Following the arrest of Anuradha Rani, DCP Kavendra Singh addressed the media and said that they are verifying the facts right now and after that they will take appropriate action.
In his statement, Singh said, “The woman has been arrested, and her statement is being taken. She has also lodged a complaint. We are verifying the facts, following which appropriate action will be taken.”
What Did the CISF Claim?
According to the complaint filed by CISF, an argument took place when Rani was entering the airport along with other staff through the vehicle gate around 4:40 am.
As per the statement given by the officials, Rani was stopped for allegedly not having valid permission to use the said gate.
Though Rani had a valid BCAS-issued airport entry pass but she was asked to wait for further screening as there was no female officer available at the time.
She was not allowed to enter from the “vehicle gate,” according to CISF officials.
Meanwhile, in their statement SpiceJet affirmed that “We stand firmly by our employee and are committed to providing her with full support.”

What Did CISF Say on Harassment Charges?
When reporters asked about the s*xual harassment charges leveled by Anuradha Rani against the ASI, CISF officials said the allegation was an “afterthought” as they refused a mutual compromise and chose to file a complaint.
In addition, CISF officials reveal that a thorough inquiry is being conducted into the incident after CCTV footage showed that the woman hit the uniformed official “despite no provocation.”
Meanwhile, authorities have registered a case against Rani under the sections of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, section 121 (1) (voluntarily causing hurt to deter public servant from his duty) and 132 (assaulting public servant).
