Playing career
Anthony Hudson’s playing career was brief. He began his football career with West Ham United’s youth squad in the Premier League. He was shortly loaned to Luton Town. Hudson left Luton Town to join the Dutch first-division club NEC Nijmegen, where he stayed for only six months. Hudson later returned to England before joining the American lower-division team Wilmington Hammerheads in 2006, where he appeared in 10 league games. Hudson hung up his boots and took over the role of the manager in 2008.
Coaching career
He began his coaching career with the Real Maryland Monarchs, where he helped his club greatly progress in the USL second-level competition. In 2009, he was nominated for USL second-division coach of the year for his work with Real Marylands. He later returned to England to work as the reserve coach for Tottenham Hotspur.
Hudson took his first international coaching role in 2014, managing the New Zealand All Whites. During his time with the Kiwis, the NZ u-17 and u-20 teams made history by reaching the World Cup knockout rounds in 2014. Hudon also has been the head coach of the Colorado Rapids.
