Anne Hughes, 71, a cleaner at Best One convenience store in Tonteg, Rhondda Cynon Taf, experienced a sudden lift into the air when her coat snagged on the shop shutters. CCTV footage captured the incident, which later gained viral attention on TikTok with 1.9 million views. Hughes, who retired seven years ago but still worked at the store, remembered leaning against the shutters when the owner unexpectedly opened them from inside, unaware of Anne’s predicament.

Realizing she was caught, Hughes screamed for help, prompting the shop owner to come to her aid by lowering the shutter and safely bringing her down. Despite being shaken, Hughes emerged unharmed and found humor in the ordeal, jesting with family and friends about her newfound fame. She vowed never to lean against the shutters again, having learned her lesson from the experience.
Graffiti artist Tee2Sugars, aged 33 and hailing from the nearby village of Tonyrefail, immortalized the image on the store shutters through spray-painting. The store owners commissioned him to create the mural. Tee2Sugars, a father of two, worked on the mural from 10 pm on Thursday, spending two-and-a-half hours free-hand spray-painting it, using a CCTV image as a reference.
