On Tuesday, the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPC) announced the JKPSC KAS Mains Exam 2022 results. 218 applicants in total had been selected to take the medical test.
Anmol Rathore from Bhaderwah secured the top position in the JKCCE 2022–23.
Who Is Anmol Rathore?
Anmol Rathore attended New Era Public High School in Kishtwar for her early education and continued her education at the GD Goenka School in Jammu. She is the daughter of former J&K Bank Manager Rajiv Rathore and GDC Kishtwar Principal Jyoti Rathore.
Rathore pursued her BA LLB degree at Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) in Gandhi Nagar, Gujarat, where she eventually earned it in 2021 after passing the CLAT test in 2016. She credited her parents, whom she views as her biggest motivators, for inspiring her and helping her succeed in the civil service examination.
Anmol Rathore expressed astonishment at her high position despite having a law as an elective topic, saying, “I hadn’t anticipated such an outcome.”
Though it could take some time for the truth of her win to set in, she expressed her utter satisfaction at her accomplishment.
It is noteworthy that Anmol studied for the exam entirely online without receiving any professional coaching.
The 24-year-old is convinced that her passion and effort have been rewarded, demonstrating the importance of perseverance and determination in reaching one’s objectives.
Anmol won the competition in 2022 with an outstanding score of 1084.50 on her first try.

Opening For The Candidates
In a statement released by the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC), it is stated that the General Administration Department (GAD) referred a total of 220 positions to the JKPSC for filling through the Combined Competitive Examination in accordance with GAD-SERVOKAS/2021-02-GAD dated April 18, 2022.
The Commission announced these openings on April 19, 2022, under notification number 08-PSC (DR-P) of 2022.
The communiqué stated that 34,121 candidates received provisional admission for the preliminary examination.
It added that the preliminary examination was held on July 31, 2022, with 23,571 candidates participating, and that the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) permitted three candidates to appear. 4,944 candidates were deemed qualified for the main exam after meeting the commission’s requirements.
As a result, the Jammu and Kashmir Combined Competitive (Mains) Examination 2022 was held in Jammu and Srinagar from February 20 to March 2, 2023. 3,891 candidates in all showed up for the exams.
In accordance with the standards established by the commission, 787 applicants were declared qualified for the interviews. These applicants’ personality evaluations were administered between July 10 and August 22, 2023. Five applicants, however, did not show up for the interview.
According to the communiqué, the panel made choices about the interview results during a meeting that was held today.
According to the report, 10 candidates’ results were delayed because questions about their eligibility needed to be answered. Whereas, the Commission announced the results for 772 of the 782 candidates who took part in the interview.
It stated that 218 candidates with the highest aggregate merit have been directed by the Commission to undergo a medical examination.
Relevantly, the successful candidates’ medical exams will be performed on August 23 and 24, depending on their choices, at medical boards in various locations. These include GMC Anantnag, Baramulla, Doda, Handwara, Jammu, Kathua, Rajouri, Srinagar, and Udhampur.
