Mumbai man Rohit Arya causes hostage crisis
A 38-year-old man named Rohit Arya, who is a self-styled acting coach and motivational speaker, recently took 19 people hostage. Arya claimed that he took the hostages to make his grievances heard, citing years of frustration over alleged non-payment for educational initiatives. Rohit had reportedly launched the Swacchta Monitor program in Maharashtra, only to see the state implement a similar scheme under the title “Majhi Shala, Sundar Shala,” without acknowledging any of his contributions.
According to the police, he recorded a video inside the studio, insisting that he was not a terrorist and that his demands were moral and ethical. The standoff reportedly lasted nearly four hours, during which Arya threatened to harm the children if authorities provoked him. The crisis eventually ended only after the commandos intervened and fatally wounded him while rescuing all the hostages.
I won’t blame Rohit Arya here. How many people actually get justice in this country? Rapists get bail, the rich walk free in hit-and-run cases, payments are delayed and never made on time, and no one even answers calls. Yet, the blame always falls on the common people. https://t.co/MZVDQ6oWBt
