Animesh Pradhan who was an NIT Rourkela student secured the All India rank 2 in the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2022-2023 as per his biography

Aditya Srivastava has achieved the top spot of All India Rank (AIR) 1 in the Civil Services Examination which were conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).

Odishan native Animesh Pradhan secured the second spot by achieving AIR 2. Donuru Ananya Reddy secured the All India Rank 3.

Following the release of the final result, around 1016 individuals were suggested for appointment to the positions of Central Services, Indian Administrative Services, Indian Police Services, and Indian Foreign Services.

Aditya Srivastava has achieved the highest score of All India Rank (AIR) 1 in the Civil Services Examination followed by Odishan native Animesh Pradhan scoring the AIR 2. Donuru Ananya Reddy came third.

P K Sidharth Ramkumar came fourth, Ruhani came fifth, Srishti Dabas secured sixth rank. In addition, Ashish Kumar secured eight rank Nausheen came at number nine.

Animesh Pradhan whose roll no is 6312512 graduated with a B Tech. in Computer Science. He completed his bachelor’s degree from NIT Rourkela and managed to secure second rank with his optional subject sociology.

In Talcher, his father, Prabhakar Pradhan, was the chairperson of Hingula Mahavidyalaya but he died in 2017. Animesh had lost his mother, Aruna Patra, last January.

Born to Aruna Patra and Prabhakar Pradhan of Talcher in Angul district, Animesh started his schooling at Kalinga DAV School in Talcher. He scored 98.8% in his intermediate exams and is currently working as an information system officer at the Indian Oil Corporation Limited.

A total of 355 recommended candidates have their candidatures retained provisionally by UPSC. Out of the 1,016 suggested applicants, 347 come under the general category, 115 fall under the EWS category, 303 are from the OBC category, and 165 and 86 come under the SC and ST categories, respectively.

There are three stages to the UPSC exam: preliminary, mains, and interview. The UPSC CSE 2023 preliminary exam was organized on May 28 whereas the UPSC CSE 2023 main exam was conducted across five days starting on September 15, 2023. Those who passed the main exam got invited to the interview phase. The final phase took place from January 4 to April 9.

The Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and other government services and posts will be hiring candidates who score higher than the cutoff points in the UPSC exam.
