Rapper 50 Cent filed a lawsuit against Angela Kogan in September. When he agreed to be photographed with Kogan in 2020, he said he figured she was just a fan wanting a souvenir. This is why he was taken aback when the image was posted on the social media accounts of Kogan’s business, Perfection Plastic Surgery and MedSpa.

50 Cent asserted that Kogan’s usage of the photo implied that he had engaged in patronage of and approval of her business’s services. To make matters worse, Kogan’s discussion on the development of male plastic surgery, including penile implants, was featured in an article on gossip website The Shade Room, which featured the aforementioned photo.
In addition to implying that 50 Cent had utilised and promoted Kogan’s services, the publication of the photo alongside the interview — which Jackson contended was essentially advertorial — could have given the impression that he had penis surgery.

In October, Kogan stated that 50 Cent allegation that he was just posing with a fan in the photo was false because they were photographed together in her office when Jackson and his girlfriend were given free spa services.
Kogan said that the photo was exchanged for free medical care. She clarified that she merely thanked the rapper for coming to her workplace and never implied that she had really conducted any kind of surgery on him through her social media message.
She further stated, “even if the court were to decide that plaintiff’s name and image were used to directly market a product or service, such use was made with the prior consent of plaintiff,” denying any further use of the image to imply that he had undergone any form of surgery.
Judges Decision In 50 Cent Penis Enlargement Case
Despite this, the presiding judge, Robert N Scola Jr., determined this week that 50 Cent claim is sufficiently plausible to move forward to the discovery phase of the case.
The judge questioned whether or not the photograph’s use was fair recompense for any pro bono medical care. He also pointed out that Kogan, in her answer, neglected to disclose a screen grab video in which she can be seen scrolling through the Shade Room piece, constituting another another use of the image.
This doesn’t mean Jackson’s case is won, but it does get it closer to trial and signals the court will likely rule in the rapper’s favour if it goes to trial. 30 year old Kogan currently has a net worth of $2.5 million.
