On Saturday, the Punjab government arrested 78 members of his group and a major crackdown was launched against him. Internet and SMS services are also suspended in Punjab due to public safety but Amritpal is still absconding.
Amritpal Singh’s family and education
Amritpal Singh Sandhu was born on the 18th of January in 1993 and presently his age is 30 years as of 2023. Amritpal hails from Jallupur Khera village situated in Baba Bakala tehsil of Amritsar district in Punjab, India.
After he completed class 10th, he finished his studies with a Polytechnic course from Kapurthala, Punjab. He didn’t complete the course and shifted to Dubai to join his family’s transport business
His father is Tarsem Singh, while his mother’s name is Balwinder Kaur and she is a Housewife. Amritpal Singh has 3 siblings. On 10th February 2023, he got married to a UK-based NRI named Kirandeep Kaur.

Amritpal Singh is the chief head of ‘Waris Punjab De,’ which is an organization formed by Punjabi actor-turned-activist Deep Sidhu for fighting for social justice and to preserve the rights and culture of the state of Punjab. He took over the leadership of this organization after the death of Deep Sidhu in a road accident near Sonepat on the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal highway on the 15th of February in 2022.
Amritpal never met Deep Sidhu but he was connected with him on social media. On 29th of September in 2022, Singh was announced as the chief of the ‘Waris Punjab De group at ‘Dastarbandi’ one-year anniversary of the founding of the organization.
