After being sold to the Los Angeles Sparks on Saturday, WNBA player Dearica Hamby issued a post on social media to say goodbye to the Las Vegas Aces supporters.
The two-time WNBA All-Star said that her old team tried to get rid of her because they were worried about the possibility of her becoming pregnant again.
Hamby, a WNBA standout, said in a recent Instagram post that the Las Vegas Aces “traded” her because “they feared she would get pregnant again.”

The Aces, according to Hamby, were “bullying and lying.” On Saturday, January 21, the Los Angeles Sparks signed the two-time WNBA All-Star.
In addition to receiving a first-round pick in 2024, the Sparks tweeted that Hamby will be joining them.
The player states her disappointment and that she is “heartbroken” by the occurrence.

Hamby is married to husband Alonzo Nelson-Ododa.
The first child of 29-year-old Hamby who height is at 2.06m and basketball player Alonzo Nelson-Ododa, whom they called Amaya, was born in February 2017.
The couple is currently expecting a second kid. According to the Daily Mail, Hamby made her pregnancy announcement during the 2022 WNBA Championship Parade.
Alonzo Nelson-Ododa, the husband of Hamby, is an Atlanta, Georgia native who graduated from Norcross High School.
Later, he played for the Richmond Spiders while attending the University of Richmond. Before beginning to play for the Pittsburgh Panthers, he graduated from the university with a degree in political science.
Later, he participated in the Denmark – Ligaen, the Danish Superliga. For Team FOG Naestved, he was a centre. According to Family Nation, Nelson-Ododa does not currently have a contract with any team as of 2022, suggesting that he may have taken a hiatus from basketball.
Nelson Ododa’s father Sebastian was a former basketball player who represented Kenya at the international level and played from 1989 to 1992 while being a part of Huntington University in Indiana. Basketball player Olivia, his younger sister, is a current member of the Los Angeles Sparks.
A professional basketball career is something that their 19-year-old brother, Isaiah, is also aiming for. He is working on a degree in mechanical engineering while playing forward for the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles.
