The viral controversy has gained attention over the weekend after the right-wing users found that a 27-year-old woman had been reportedly charged with animal cruelty.
In addition, the woman has also been charged with violations involving companion animals and disorderly conduct. As per reports, the Ohio woman named Allexis Telia Ferrell has actually been living in the United States for the past 6 years.
The woman identified as Allexis Telia Ferrell, allegedly “stomped on the cat’s head to kill the animal before eating it in a residential area in front of multiple people” on August 16, as per media reports.

The alleged story caught the eye of many famous figures like commentator Ian Miles Cheong, who shared the bodycam footage featuring the arrest of Allexis Telia Ferrell. The viral video has garnered more than 1.1 million followers.

After witnessing the cruel viral video, many netizen asked if these actions were done by taking some drug. To which Cheong claimed that the woman is a Haitian immigrant.
This statement ignited a wave of rumors and opinions on social media with many users attributing Allexis Telia Ferrell’s actions to her alleged Haitian background.
These speculations led to a surge of AI-generated memes, including one from Ian Miles Cheong, depicting former US President Donald Trump saving cats from a Haitian men in Ohio.

These rumors spread in the wake of the existing tension between Haitian immigrants and some local residents in Ohio, that received over 15,000 to 20,000 immigrants over the last 4 years.
In another claim, a resident alleged that a Haitian immigrant had decapitated a duck at a local pond to eat it.
Meanwhile, many social media users shared a few unverified screenshots from alleged local social media channels claiming that immigrants were responsible for pets going missing.
However, the Ohio Police stated that they have not received any reports of missing pets, and there is no evidence to suggest that the woman involved is an illegal immigrant from Haiti or that immigrants are eating cats. However, Donald Trump still decided to claim this during his recent debate with Kamala Harris after which he was prompted by the moderator.
A simple search shows that Ferrell has been a registered voter in Ohio for the past six years.
