Alexanda Kotey, 39, one of the “ISIS Beatles,” who was handed a life sentence for the murder and torture of western hostages, has vanished from the prison system. On the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) website, he is classified as “not in BOP custody” with an “unknown” release date.
The 39-year-old Brit is presently receiving a life sentence for the kidnapping, torturing, and beheading of ISIS prisoners in Syria, including four American journalists and charity workers.

Who is Alexanda Kotey?
Alexanda Kotey is a notorious ISIS terrorist. He has been in the news because he recently disappeared from the Canaan prison system.
His full name is Alexanda Amon Kotey. He is also known by the nickname “Jihadi George.” He was born on December 13, 1983, in Westminster, London, England. He was brought up in Shepherd’s Bush. His father is of Ghanaian origin, while his mother is a Greek Cypriot. He held British nationality until 2018, when it was revoked.
He converted to Islam. He is married and has two children. He is currently 39 years old.

Alexanda Kotey was previously detained by the Syrian Democratic Forces while allegedly trying to escape the fall of the terrorist organization known as the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), which was primarily active in the conflict-torn countries of Iraq and Syria.
Kotey was a citizen of the United Kingdom, but the British government withdrew his citizenship due to his nefarious activities.
One of the four “Jihadi Beatles” that participated in ISIL atrocities during the Syrian Civil War, he has been labeled a terrorist by the US and has been named in the media.
While Kotey has acknowledged joining the ISIL terrorist organization and traveling to Syria, he has denied being a member of the “Beatles.”

Alexanda Kotey was sent to Canaan in August of last year. In exchange for avoiding serving time in Colorado’s ADX Florence prison, commonly known as the “Alcatraz of the Rockies,” he accepted a plea deal with “cooperation conditions.”
However, less than 6 months later, his position on the website of the prison system has been updated to “not in BOP custody,” and it is unclear where he is at this time.
Donald Murph, a spokesperson for the Bureau of Prisons, claims that he is not currently in their custody. He continued by stating that there are many reasons why an inmate can be classified as “not in the system,” but he made no mention of Alexanda Kotey’s specific context.
He explained:
Inmates who were previously in BOP custody and have not completed their sentence may be released for a period of time for court hearings, medical treatment, or other reasons.
According to him, the BOP withholds specific information about a person for “safety, security, or privacy reasons.”
For a number of reasons, including travel, processing, relocation to a halfway house, or parole release, a prisoner may be referred to as “not in BOP custody.” However, none of them is possible in the case of Kotey, as he is serving a life sentence. It’s possible that Kotey was dispatched abroad to assist with a probe into a different case.
