As per several media reports, Mira’s parents are of Indian origin. However, a quick online search shows that Murati is an Albanian surname and some of the famous personalities with the surname are :

For those who are curious to know more about the CTO of AI company, let us tell you, Mira, who was born in San Francisco in 1988 was raised in the United States.
Mira Murati, who was born in 1988 in San Francisco to parents of Albanian descent, serves as the Chief Technical Officer of OpenAI, the organisation that created ChatGPT and DALL-E ad while the names Mira and Meera are frequently associated with India, the surname “Murati” is Albanian.
As per her LinkedIn profile, the 35-year-old has completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Dartmouth College. She is currently single and unmarried.
After completing her bachelor’s, she went on to work as a summer analyst in Goldman Sachs. Between 2013-16 she served the position of Senior Product Manager of Model X at Tesla.
In June, 2018, she went ahead and joined Artificial Intelligence as the Vice President. She is currently working as the Chief Technology Officer of Open AI, a California based research and deployment company which is behind the development of ChatGPT.
In an earlier interview with Times Magazine, Mira revealed that “AI can be misused, or it can be used by bad actors. So, then there are questions about how you govern the use of this technology globally. How do you govern the use of AI in a way that’s aligned with human values?”
As per the official website of ChatGPT, it’s an advanced AI Chabot “trained by OpenAI which interacts in a conversational way’. According to the website, the dialogue with ChatGPT makes it possible for the bot to ‘answer followup questions, admit its mistakes, challenge incorrect premises, and reject inappropriate requests.” It was launched in November 2022.
