Scholes revealed how he has to prioritize Aiden above everything else, including giving up on Live TV commentary to support his son’s needs.
“I just made the decision this year because of Aiden, obviously with his special needs and stuff, all the work I do now is just around his routines, because he has quite a strict routine every single day, so I just decided everything I’m going to do, it is around Aiden,” Scholes said on The Overlap podcast to Gary Neville.
“Well, me and Claire are obviously not together any more. We have him three nights each and Claire’s mum has him on a Friday night but we’ll always do the same things with him,” Scholes added talking about his divorce back in 2020.

Aiden Scholes, the youngest child of English football icon Paul Scholes and his former wife, Claire, was born in December 2004. He was diagnosed with autism as a young child communicates primarily through sounds and gestures that only people close to him fully understand. Scholes described Aiden as someone who thrives on routine and often enjoys simple pleasures like swimming, eating pizza, and visiting Tesco for his favorite chocolates. Following their split, Scholes and Claire share equal custody and maintain the same weekly structure to avoid disrupting Aiden’s sense of security.

Aiden Scholes will turn 21 this year, and although his exact height hasn’t been publicly shared, he is often described as a “big, strong lad.”
Family
Aiden Scholes is the youngest of three siblings, with his older brother Arron and sister Alicia both in their 20s. Arron occasionally appeared at football events alongside his father, while Alicia pursued a career in netball and modeling.
