Nangeyalia Kharoti is a young an upcoming cricketer who was born on April 25, 2004, in Baghlan, Afghanistan and is a Muslim by religion. Over the years, he has played for various domestic teams like Afghanistan, Afghanistan U19, Kabul Eagles, Paktia Province, and Bahawalpur Royals. The young all-rounder gained prominence after picking up 4 wickets for 54 during his ODI debut. Nangeyalia Kharote made his Twenty20 debut on September 7, 2020, for the Kabul Eagles during the 2020 Shpageeza Cricket League. During that tournament, Kharote emerged as the joint-leading wicket-taker, with thirteen dismissals across seven matches. Moreover, he was also named as the man of the match during competition final, after scoring 25 runs and taking two wickets. Kharoyte also got named as the tournament’s ‘Best Emerging Player’.
Nangeyalia Kharote then went on to make his List A debut on October 12, 2020. He made his debut for Amo Region during the 2020 Ghazi Amanullah Khan Regional One Day Tournament. Earlier this year, in March 2024, he made his debut for the Afghanistan national cricket team during their One Day International (ODI) series against Ireland. He played his first game on March 12, 2024, against Ireland. Just later, that same month, Nangeyalia Kharote got named as the Twenty20 International (T20I) squad for the series. And by May 2024, Kharote got named him in Afghanistan’s squad for the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup tournament.
