In February 2009, she tied the knot with the late actor Akhil Mishra. Suzanne has graced the silver screen in nearly 20 films, including notable works like “Ramdhanu – The Rainbow,” “Love Recipe,” “The Accidental Prime Minister,” “No Problem,” and “In The Name Of Tai.”

She has also left her mark in the realm of television, featuring in various shows, including the historical series “Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat” on Colors TV, where she portrayed the role of Queen Helena. She doesn’t have any children.

On September 21, 2023, news broke of the untimely demise of Suzanne’s husband, Akhil Mishra, following a tragic accident. Reports suggest that he met with an accident in the kitchen, slipping from a stool and sustaining injuries that led to his hospitalization. Despite the efforts of medical professionals, he was declared deceased. It is known that Akhil had been grappling with serious blood pressure-related ailments, which might have contributed to his untimely passing.

Sources have confirmed that his last rites are scheduled for today (September 21, 2023) at Indralok, near Golden Nest.

Akhil, born in 1965, had an illustrious career in both films, including works like “Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi” and “Gandhi, My Father,” as well as television, where he notably appeared in the show “Pradhanmantri.” However, he was best recognized for his role in “3 Idiots.”

Suzanne, mourning her husband’s loss, expressed her grief to the Indian Express, saying, “I am heartbroken. My other half is no longer with us.” Earlier in 2023, she had shared how Akhil had put his career on hold to support her in learning Hindi, enabling her to secure better roles in films.

Speaking again with the media she further stated that “All the characters that I played were foreigners who needed an accent.

“Fluency suddenly became an issue with my show Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat, as I needed to be perfect, and my husband gave all his time and put his career on hold to help me on a daily basis to speak shudh Hindi.”
