In an Instagram post, Jayasurya wrote, โTo all of you who have wished me on my birthday today, to all of you who are extending your support and standing by me, thank you. Due to my personal commitments, my family and I have been in America for the past month, and during this time, two false allegations on the grounds of s*xual harassment were made against me.โ

46-year-old Jayasurya was born on 31 August 1978 in Kochi. Jaya is 5ft 7in tall.
He attended the Government Sanskrit High School in Tripunithura and St. George U. P. School in Chambakkara. He then attended All Saints College in Ernakulam to pursue a Bachelor of Commerce degree.

Jayasurya career
Jayasurya hosted a few television programs on Malayalam stations before starting his career as a mimicry artist. In the 1999 movie Pathram, he made his acting debut as a background actor. His breakthrough performance came in the 2002 film Oomappenninu Uriyadappayyan as a mute.
During the 2000s, Jayasurya gained popularity for his comedic parts in films such as Gulumaal (2009), Chocolate (2007), Chathikkatha Chanthu (2004), Pulival Kalyanam (2003), Swapnakkoodu (2003), and Classmates (2006).
