EasyJet passenger Abhay Nayak arrested
A shocking incident took place on the morning of July 27, when a man named Abhay Nayak triggered chaos while aboard an easyJet flight. During the flight, Abhay started shouting:
I’m going to bomb the plane! Death to America! Death to Trump!”
He further chanted “Allahu Akbar” after leaving the aircraft lavatory. According to reports, the plane was originally en route from London’s Luton Airport to Glasgow before getting forced to make an emergency landing. One of the passengers physically restrained Nayak up until the plane landed safely at Glasgow Airport around 8:20 am. Upon the plane’s landing, law enforcement officials immediately arrested him on the tarmac.

Charges and allegations
Prosecutors have now charged Nayak with assault and endangering the safety of an aircraft under the UK’s air navigation laws. While Abhay made politically charged and religious slogans, authorities have confirmed that they did not find any explosives on board. As such, Nayak is not facing any terrorism-related charges at present and remains in custody. He is set to appear for his next court hearing in eight days at Paisley Sheriff Court.
