His Viral Video Explained
Last Monday, Abdul Ghafoor raced to remove two large concrete blocks from Al Quoz, as described in a Khaleej Times article. He then placed them in a secure location before getting back on his bike.
Abdul Hakeem, who was on his way to deliver a package that day, was waiting at the junction when he realized how dangerous the falling bricks were. He has previously said to Khaleej Times,
I saw the blocks but didn’t really think much of it.
He added,
As I waited, a taxi went over the block and the driver almost lost control of his car. That is when I realised that it could cause a major accident. To be honest, I didn’t think I was doing anything special.
He went on to say,
I was just making sure no one would get hurt. If God forbid, one of our riders hit it, it could even cause death. That is why I acted quickly.
Soon after doing this, he promptly went to fulfil his order.
