As per a report by the Washington Post, a man was removed from the campus and was even told to stay away after officials found out he has been living in the dorm even though he is not a student.

On Tuesday, October 27, the Stanford University confirmed that a man named William Curry had been illegally living in the basement of the dorm nearly for a year now posing as a student of the campus.
The man who has been now identified as William Curry, has reportedly been living in the dorm since December 2021.
As per officials, he was reported on the campus several times since December.
According to a report by the Stanford Daily, Curry had stayed in multiple dorms over a period of month, posing himself as athelete and premedical student to others.
He even told others that he had transferred from Duke University.
As per the same outlet, the 20-year-old stated that, “just living the normal Stanford life, meeting people, socializing, as you do in college.”
The teenager also revealed to the outlet that he had lied to people in his high school that he is attending Stanford. His own parents thought that he was enrolled in the campus.
A Stanford spokeswoman, Dee Mostofi revealed that, when William was first found living in the dorm he was cited for violating the dorms law.
Dee revealed via email that, “but was unable to locate him until the most recent incident on Oct. 27, at which point he was given the letter.”
As per reports, reporter Cassidy Dalva and Theo Baker were tipped off by a fellow writer about someone living in University’s Crothers Hall.
He further said that many students were interviewed about the same and they were convinced that Curry was a student of the university.
After the incidents became known, the University is reviewing its safety procedures.
In his statement, reporter Theo Baker revealed, “He sometimes climbed through windows, he sometimes was able to take a student’s ID card, according to residents who lived with him last year.”
