On New Year’s Eve in Times Square, the 19-year-old Wells, Maine, resident allegedly stabbed NYPD officers. According to reports, the FBI has listed Trevor as an “alleged Islamic extremist” who has “become a radicalised Muslim in recent years” and added him to a watchlist. Three cops have been harmed, said Mayor Eric Adams at a press conference on January 1, 2023.

As a result of his radicalization, Trevor is on a “guardian list.” His aunt called the police after he told her he planned to go to the Middle East to fight.

Mother’s Love For Her Son- ‘Terrorist’ Or ‘Old Soul’?

She has referred to him as an “old soul” and has frequently voiced her love for him since he left their home for Seattle in September. The fact that Devon, her second son, is a US Army soldier, is further shown by the fact that Devon is seen in one photo with the suspected terrorist on her social media.

“Happy 19th Birthday, Trevor,” she wrote beside a picture of him on July 28. “I feel very fortunate and happy to be able to name you my son.”

You have a mature soul, and I am always in awe of all the things you like doing and exploring. You are the finest brother ever, and I appreciate that you don’t hesitate to try new things. I adore you and am so proud of the guy you are growing into.”

Trevor’s Involvement For The New Year’s Eve Explosion And Gunfire

A sizable throng had assembled in Times Square for the customary New Year’s Eve ball drop when the stabbing took place close beyond the security cordon. Police combed partygoers for contraband such as large bags, alcohol, and weapons. The New York Daily News was informed by staff at a neighbouring halal eatery that they heard what they thought to be explosions or gunfire.

During the event, which took place at 52nd Street and 8th Avenue, cops were seen shooing revellers away. Pedestrians may be shouted at by police as they flee the crime scene.
