Hojlund Scored 5 Goals
Hojlund also came through Copenhagen’s academy and scored five goals in 32 games for the Danish giants before leaving in January 2022. His rapid rise led him to join Manchester United 18 months after leaving Copenhagen, earning clubs nearly £100 million in transfer fees.
Hojlund’s Brothers Are More Talented?
However, Christian Mouroux, the former sporting director at Horsholm Usserod Idraetsklub (HUI), a local club, believes that the Hojlund brothers might be even more talented than the Manchester United star.
He stated, “A lot of people who have met all three think the two younger brothers are at least as talented as Rasmus. In my opinion, if you’re talking about pure talent, I would go to the length of maybe saying the two little brothers have a slight competitive advantage.”
Anders Hojlund, their father, played a significant role in their development, dedicating time to train each son individually and creating an indoor football pitch in the basement of their home for practice.
When Oscar and Emil signed their first Copenhagen contracts together in late 2021, the latter expressed his pride in continuing his football journey alongside his twin. The three brothers remain close, with Rasmus reaching out to Oscar and Emil immediately after the Champions League draw.
Rasmus Hojlund Excited to Face Siblings
Rasmus is excited to face his former club and considers it “cool” to potentially play against one or both of his siblings. He aims to prove himself better than his younger brothers, with Emil being hailed as the best talent to play for HUI.
Despite not scoring in the Premier League, Rasmus Hojlund has excelled in the Champions League, with three goals in two matches.
