A Memphis man named Tyre Nichols died after being beaten by police during a traffic check, and his mother spoke out about her sorrow at watching him die in the hospital, know about his parents
Row Vaughn Wells has stated that she believes the police misled to her about the events surrounding the arrest of Tyre Nichols, 29. Mr. Nichols was found dead on January 11th, three days after the 7th traffic stop in which five police officers are now accused of murder.
Tyre Nichols’ mother said that the Memphis police officers who were involved in her son’s death by beating during a traffic stop had “brought shame to their families” and the “Black community.” Nichols, 29, passed away on January 10 at a hospital where he had been taken care of following the confrontation with Memphis Police Department officers three days prior.

A tearful Row Vaughn Wells stated, “They have put their own family in harm’s way” in her first interview since the arrest of the ex-officers. “They have brought shame to their own families. They brought shame to the Black community. I feel sorry for them.”
Officers Tadarrius Bean, Demetrius Haley, Emmitt Martin III, Desmond Mills Jr., and Justin Smith were all terminated last week.

Tyre Nichols, the man who was fatally beaten, was the oldest of three siblings born to Row Vaughn Wells and Rodney Row Vaughn Wells. Also in an earlier press conference, Ms. Wells claimed that she has been unable to view the video and asked parents not to show it to their children.
Ms. Wells has stated that she is becoming more and more sure that the cops first lied to her as more information becomes available. She was told that her son resisted arrest for DUI and that officers had to use a stun gun and pepper spray to bring him down.

Even in his Facebook posts, he showed his love for the Volunteer State. He uploaded a video of himself in August 2021, dancing to “Girl Like You” by Jason Aldean against a backdrop of farmland while wearing a checkered shirt, ball cap, and mirrored sunglasses.

His other writings shed light on his personal interests and political views. In his posts, he talked about the NBA and NFL. In his writing, he expressed deep empathy for the struggles of indigenous peoples and admiration for the strength of African Americans in the face of decades of discrimination. Also he spoke out against institutionalised racism, partisan favouritism, and the dominance of the élite class. He believed in conspiracies involving chemtrails, the JFK assassination, and the AIDS pandemic.

Months after George Floyd’s death, in June 2020, he posted a sketch brd over a well-known image of Malcolm X looking out a window while holding a weapon.
Soon after, with the assistance of his stepfather, Rodney Wells, he was able to secure employment with FedEx. Memphis is home to the firm’s headquarters, and for decades, the company has been recognised as a critical driver of economic sustenance and mobility for Black residents across the economic spectrum.
