He was 28. Takeoff, the then-kid who convinced his uncle (Quavo) to start rapping then helped change the flow of rap. The undisputed best rapper in Migos (his uncle told me so himself just a few months ago). What a loss.

All the three members of the group are related, Quavo and Offset are cousins, while Takeoff is Quavo’s nephew. Quavo’s sister, who is Takeoff’s mother, raised all three of them.
Takeoff Shot Dead
Takeoff, whose real name is Kirshnik Khari Ball was shot dead in Houston, Texas. The 28-year-old American rapper is a member of Migos. The incident occurred early morning around 2.30 a.m. on November 1, 2022.
Takeoff was shot at a bowling alley in Houston where he was playing dice with his uncle Quavo. Authorities pronounced Takeoff as dead on the spot. Besides Takeoff, authorities took two other people to the hospital that were also present and shot. Quavo manged to avoid getting hurt.

Released Singles And Achievements
Migos released their first commercial single titled Versace, off their mixtape Y.R.N. back in 2013. The song popularised the triplet flow which was Migos’ distinctive rapid-fire rhythm in modern rap.
Toronto-based rapper Drake later subsequently remixed it and forged a long-running relationship with all the three members. Eventually, Migos released more singles, including Fight Night (2014), and Look at My Dab (2015).
Four of their singles featured Billboard Hot 100 top 10 lists:
- Bad and Boujee (featuring Lil Uzi Vert) (2016), at number one
- MotorSport (featuring Nicki Minaj and Cardi B) (2017), peaking at number six

- Walk It Talk It (Featuring Drake) (2018) at number ten
The trio also made a special appearance as their fictionalized versions in Atlanta season 1, back in 2016. It was a comedy-drama television series featuring Donald Glover.
Migos Albums
Migos released their first self-titled debut album back in July 2015 under Quality Control Music and 300 Entertainment. They followed up with their second album release titled Culture, under the same record labels, back in January 2017.
Culture, debuted at the top of the US Billboard 200 chart. Following their Albums success, the trio later signed up with Motown and Capitol Records in February 2017, and in January 2018.
After which, they released a follow-up album titled Culture II. It quickly became their second number-one album in the US. All the members have a combined net worth of $80 million.
Takeoff Solo Career
Besides his success with the group, Takeoff has also released one album as a solo artist. The album, titled, Last Rocket, debuted at No. 4 in the US. He also released ‘Only Built for Infinity Links’ as a duo with fellow rapper Quavo just last month.
