Messi has been dating Antonella Roccuzzo, a fellow Rosario native, since 2008. The player however did not disclose their relationship until it marked one year of an interview in 2009. In June 2017, Messi and Antonella tied the knot in Rosario, Argentina, the place where they had spent their formative years together. He’s known Roccuzzo since he was five years old since she’s the cousin of Lucas Scaglia, the football player who was his childhood best buddy. The pair has three children, all three are sons. The youngest child Ciro is four years old, the middle child Mateo is seven, and the oldest Thiago is nine.

Messi’s son Mateo and Thiago were the students of Paris Saint Germain’s academy until the Argentine transferred to the MLS side. The two kids also joined Inter Miami’s youth side in September of this year.
