Angry social media users have named the four girls who are accused of attacking a 14-year-old girl at a school in the New Jersey region, which led to the girl’s suicide two days later. Due of the minor age of the affected children, authorities have so far refrained from disclosing their identities. Even so, outraged social media users demanded that the identities of the four girls who are accused of beating Adriana as well as the girl who sent video of the beating and shared it online to make public. Adriana, 14, ended her life on February 3 at her Bayville, New Jersey, home, two days after the ‘humiliating’ attack.

Was the attack on Adriana planned?

It was unclear if the 14-year-old was attacked because of her race by the girls. The students who organised the assault on Adriana Kuch were identified by a relative. The attackers are Amira Mosley (Black), Keyona Brinson (Black), and Ayona Lanzetti (White) and Jasmine Puga (Hispanic).  Moreover, the one who filmed and started the incident is Ayona Lanzetti. It was she who repeatedly sent it to Adriana.

Charges increased as the school district may be sued.

The four alleged attackers were first charged with third-degree assault; however, when they were suspended indefinitely from school, a fourth girl was additionally charged with disorderly conduct. Following the suicide of Adriana Kuch, Michael Kuch, Adriana’s father, was outraged and demanded that the four responsible be charged with more serious crimes.

On Friday, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said that the teens now face more serious charges. According to NBC News, two minor girls were arrested for conspiracy to commit aggravated assault while the third was charged with harassment. One of the girls is currently charged with aggravated assault and may appear in court as an adult.

It is yet unknown whether Michael Kuch will attempt to sue the school for what other parents believe are instances of persistent school bullying that administrators failed to stop. The school district may also face punishment for failing to report Adriana’s attack to police.
