People are worried about the safety of three women who went missing in Newport, Wales, after a night out two days ago with Sophie Russon and Shane Loughlin the only survivors of the accident

Sophie Russon, Eve Smith, and Darcy Ross, all 20, were last seen at the Muffler Club in Maesglas early on Saturday morning.

It has now been reported that three people were killed in a car accident while two women are profusely injured.

Friends think the women left with two men and may have gone to Trecco Bay, a resort about 40 minutes by car from the club in Porthcawl, before going somewhere else. Since the women have gone missing, none of them have been on social media, which their families say is “out of character”.

Ms. Smith’s car is still parked in front of the Muffler Club, which makes their families even more worried. The people who care about all five of the missing people have posted pictures of them on social media in hopes of finding out what happened to them.

Ms. Smith’s sister, Lauren Doyle, wrote on social media that none of the women had gotten in touch with friends or family, which is very unusual. She said, “We are all worried sick and thinking the worst.”

Police tagged the case as low risk

The case has been called “low-risk” for now, but people who care about the person are sick with worry and want answers. Ms. Doyle said that she told the police about the missing people on March 4, but she said that they told her the case was “low-risk” for now. But the fact that the women haven’t been seen in two days and haven’t talked to anyone makes the situation very worrying.

On social media, the families of the three women who have gone missing have said that they are “worried sick and thinking the worst.” Tori Preece, Ms. Russon’s aunt, said,  “They are not girls who take unnecessary risks and are always in close contact with their families.”

Police in Gwent have said that they are looking into the case. Trecco Bay Holiday Park’s spokesperson has also said, “We are aware of reports of five missing people. None of these people were registered guests at the park, however we are assisting police with their enquiries.”

Missing women cases on rise in Wales

This case shows how missing women are a bigger problem in Wales. The Welsh government said that the case of missing women is on rise since last few years.

There are many different and complicated reasons for these numbers. Women are more likely to be victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, which can sometimes lead to them going missing. Also, women are often more likely to be taken advantage of or sold, which can lead to them being reported missing.

The Welsh government knows about this problem and has promised to do something about it. It has promised to do more to help people who are at risk of being exploited or trafficked and who are victims of domestic violence or sexual assault.
