Rishabh Pant, the famous India wicketkeeper, was severely injured in a horrific automobile accident on Friday (December 30) near Roorkee at around 5:15 am, which hocked the cricket community. However, later the 25-year-old was admitted to the Max Hospital in Dehradun and now he is in stable condition.

According to police sources, Pant fell asleep behind the wheel of his Mercedes and completely lost control. After the car struck the divider, it was burned in the flames. But Pant managed to smash one of the windows and exit the vehicle. Despite being risk-free, he suffered a number of wounds.
After playing two Test matches in Bangladesh lately, Pant took a flight to Dubai. Later on, he arrived back in India and travelled to Roorkee, Uttarakhand, from New Delhi. His family resides in Roorkee, where he was heading to meet them for the New Year.

Eyewitness Rishabh Pant was taken to a local hospital by Rajat Kumar, Nishu Kumar and their buddies. A number of witnesses came to Rishabh Pant’s aid. Bus driver Sushil Mann was the first to get to him. Rajat Kumar is from Buchha village in Shikarpur, Muzaffarnagar district, and he was there. He works at the Uttam Sugar Mill in Libberheri, which is a few miles from the location of the collision. On the bike, Rajat was travelling to work with Nishu and Om Kumar.
“I was unaware that the injured man was Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant at the time. On the skull, there was a wound, and blood was coming from it. He began by introducing me as Rishabh Pant,” Rajat later told news reporters, “But I will mention one thing, people were picking up items instead of helping, this should not be done, help should be done on time.”
He responded, “Pant was outside the automobile [while the car was on fire],” when questioned about where he discovered Pant when he arrived at the scene. Rajat continued, “We called the police, the ambulance arrived, and then we transported him to the hospital.”
