A Delhi-based YouTuber couple was charged for allegedly extorting over Rs 80 Lakh from a 21-year-old businessman, know about Naamra Qadir and Virat
As per police, the couple not just extorted the money from the businessman but they also allegedly threatened him to implicate a false rape case.
As per a report by News18, the victim of honey-trapping runs an advertisement agency. The 21-year-old had filed a complaint against the duo back in August this year.

The two seemed to be prepared as they went to court for an interim bail. However, their petition was recently quashed after a FIR was lodged against them earlier this week at the Police Station in Sector 50.
As per the complaint, a Badshahpur resident of Gurugram got in touch with Naamra Qadir, who’s a resident of Shalimar Bagh, Delhi.
He discussed some work proposals with the woman at the Radisson hotel which is located in Sohna road in Gurugram.
The complaint also revealed that during their meeting the woman was accompanied by a man named Virat alias Manish Beniwal. The businessman had paid a sum of Rs. 2.50 Lakh for his business proposal.
Later, when the Gurugram native asked Qadir for the output of their business proposal, the woman proposed to him to marry her after she expressed she liked him.
According to the statement given by cops, the businessman eventually became friends with the couple and started hanging out with them.
At the time, the couple started recording their private moments and later started blackmailing him.
As per the complainant, in August, the three of them went to a club for partying and booked a room where they spent a night.
When the businessman woke up in the morning, Virat asked him to hand over his bank cards and iWatch which at the time he was wearing.
Virat even pointed a weapon to threatened him saying he is the husband of Qadir and if he doesn’t pay money they will implicate a rape case against him.
As per the complaint, the couple had extorted more than Rs. 80 Lakh from him in cash along with some expensive items.
As per the reports, the authorities issued a notice against the couple on October 10, however, they had gone to a Court in Gurugram for interim bail.
Their petition for the bail however, was dismissed on Friday, November 18.
For those who are curious, let us tell you, as per the statement given by Station House Officer Rajesh Kumar, the YouTuber couple were arrested and charged under the different sections of IPC.
These sections include Section 388 which is extortion by putting any person in fear, Section 328 which is causing hurt by means of poison, Section 406 which is criminal breach of trust, Section 506 which is criminal intimidation, and Section 34 which is common intention.
