Erling Haaland has now been exonerated by a Man City investigation, and the team has chosen not to extend the woman’s employment as a ticket agent and sporadic mascot.
After filing a police assault complaint, the woman blasted “arrogant” Premier League officials and demanded the incident be given more serious consideration.
The woman, dressed as Moonbeam, said she took two strikes to the back of her head while posing for a picture prior to City’s October 26 match against Southampton. The identity of the woman who was dressed as the club’s mascot hasn’t been revealed yet.
She reportedly said to a colleague, “What the hell was that that hit me.” He replied: “It was Erling. He hit you from behind.”
She recalled, “I was pretty upset, and I was crying, and my head was thudding and I think I was in shock. I later realised he’d come behind me and hit me on the head and then leaned on my head.”
“At least you can say Erling Haaland hit you,” she told City’s safeguarding supervisor, who reportedly laughed it off.

After being offered the opportunity to depart early, the woman carried on with her shift.
According to the results of an inquiry, Haaland did not hurt the woman. According to a source, “Erling Haaland always recognizes Moonbeam by gently touching his head or back.”
Paul Kenyon, the head of City’s health and safety department, requested CCTV footage, which purportedly showed the football player simply “grazing” the mascot.
The woman has also been told by Greater Manchester Police that they do not think Haaland acted maliciously.
