Michigan terror suspects caught plotting an attack

Authorities in Michigan recently arrested two men named Mohmed Ali and Majed Mahmoud after carrying out weeks of surveillance. Mohmed and Majed had their phones tracked, and authorities even monitored their conversations and watched their movements across Metro Detroit. According to prosecutors, the two men intended to carry out a mass shooting on Halloween night and used the code name “pumpkin” for the operation.

The pair had their sights on an area in Ferndale as their primary target, which is known for LGBTQ-friendly bars and businesses. Following the arrests, the FBI claimed that Ali and Mahmoud weren’t working alone, revealing that a juvenile, listed only as “Person 1,” was allegedly assigned to participate in the attack. Investigators managed to raid the home of the suspects and a storage unit and recovered rifles, shotguns, pistols, over 1,600 rounds of ammunition, tactical gear, and GoPro cameras. According to investigators, the pair secretly trained with firearms, stockpiled weapons, and scouted locations that would guarantee maximum casualties.
