Less than a week after the shooting on October 18, police detained Luis Mendoza, 35, on October 22, and Burr Charlesworth, 42, on October 19. The two suspects “are being held for investigation of attempted first-degree murder and first-degree assault,” Heather Willard of KDVR said.
Based on court documents, Mendoza was seen entering the strip club after midnight and he kept an eye on the victims instead of engaging with the entertainers Soon after the victims left, Mendoza began to follow them. Charlesworth meanwhile denied firing at the victims and said that gunshots came from other vehicles. He told the investigators that he was helping a friend who had asked him to stalk the victims because of a fight.
After leaving a strip club in the Denver area last week, Josh Reynolds, an American football wide receiver for the Denver Broncos of the NFL, was reportedly shot twice on October 18. He sustained injuries to his left arm and the back of his head from the unusual gunshot.
Additionally, the shooting at Shotgun Willie’s in the Denver suburbs injured two additional males. One sustained injury from broken glass, and another was shot in the back.
When they were shot, two of them sustained non-life-threatening wounds. According to a statement from the Denver Broncos, Reynolds was shot in the arm and the back of the head, although his wounds were “minor.”

This week, Josh Reynolds, 29, returned to practice and worked alongside other injured players on a side field. Reynolds is recuperating from a finger injury and is presently on injured reserve.
“Josh Reynolds was treated for minor injuries after being shot on Friday in Denver,” the team revealed in a statement. Prior to being placed on injured reserve, Reynolds caught 12 passes for 183 yards and one touchdown in five games this season.
Denver Police revealed that Burr Charlesworth and Luis Mendoza had been taken into custody in relation to attack on Josh Reynolds.
Several automobiles were allegedly waiting for the victims to go after Mendoza entered the club, observed the victims, and then followed them out and into a car. The Broncos have placed Reynolds, who has 12 receptions, 183 yards, and a touchdown, on injured reserve because of a fractured finger.
According to court records, Mendoza went inside a strip club after midnight and observed the victims instead of interacting with the performers. Mendoza trailed behind them as they went.
