The murders shocked the small town, but the police quickly put to rest worries that there was a serial killer on the loose. Detectives were able to show that the three people who were killed were with each other before they were killed in a car owned by Silvernail. A witness heard several gunshots at the same time, which made the police think that all three teens died at the same time.
