In the mass shooting incident at a Colorado gay club, wherein 5 people killed, two bartenders have now been identified as Derrick Rump and Daniel Aston

The mother of the 28-year-old Daniel Davis Aston, revealed in a statement to the ABC News, that his son was killed in the gunfire which held at Club Q in Colorado Springs.

Sabrina Aston, mother of the victim, stated to the outlet that, “He was our baby and he was our youngest.”

Meanwhile another victim, who is among the 5 who was killed in the gruesome incident identified as fellow bartender, Derrick Rump.

Rump’s co-workers described him as funny and bubbly as they said he was someone who always “kept his smile.”

As per the statement given by friends on the social media, apart from being a bartender, Aston was also a drag performer. He had completed his transition to male in June.

For those who are unfamiliar with the situation, let us tell you, a attack took place at the Club Q in Colorado Springs leaving 5 dead and 25 injured, on Saturday, November 19, on the evening of the Transgender Day of Remembrance.

A suspect, Anderson Lee Aldrich, who’s suspected to be involved in the incidents as a hate crime has been arrested by the authorities and is presently in police custody.

The 22-year-old Lee was tackled by 2 heroic patrons. He had previously been arrested in June last year for a bomb threat but was never charged.

A fellow drag performer, Leia-Jhene Seals, who was also on the stage at the club on the night of the incident, revealed that Aston “was always, ‘Do you need anything?’”

As per the Facebook profile of the Rump, he previously worked as a Cook/Prep Cook at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo.

Rumo had completed his schooling from Kutztown Area Senior High School.

On the other hand, Aston had previously worked at the Elote Cafe & Catering. He had completed his schooling from Broken Arrow High School and went to pursue further studies from Northeastern State University.

After learning the demise of Rump, one of his acquaintance, Delaney Sailer, took to Facebook and penned down a heartfelt message.

Delaney wrote while describing Rumo as, “kind, oving, and caring and an amazing great friend,” before saying “You gave me advice,which i will never and have not forgotten.”

Another acquaintance, who seem to know both bartenders paid condolences via Facebook as he wrote, “Daniel Davis Aston, you and Derrick Rump did not deserve this, two of the most beautiful souls it was a pleasure to have had the honor to know you and love you guys Rest in piece bebes.”
